How Long Does a Carpentry Renovation Take in Singapore?
One of the most common questions we receive at our Jalan Kayu showroom is: how long will this take? The answer depends on what you are doing, but here are realistic timelines based on thousands of HOBI projects.
From Signing to Installation
Once you confirm your project and pay the deposit, the timeline breaks down roughly as follows:
Design finalisation: 3 to 7 days. We will refine the design drawings based on your feedback and get your sign-off before production begins.
Material ordering: 3 to 5 days. Boards, hardware, countertop materials, and finishes are ordered from our suppliers.
Factory production: 10 to 21 days depending on project complexity. Your furniture is built in our Bedok factory.
Delivery and installation: 1 to 5 days on-site depending on scope.
Realistic Timelines by Project Type
Single kitchen: 3 to 4 weeks from deposit to installation complete.
Single wardrobe: 2 to 3 weeks.
Kitchen + wardrobe package: 4 to 5 weeks.
Full home renovation (carpentry): 6 to 10 weeks.
What Can Delay a Project
The most common delays are: late design sign-off by the homeowner, unavailability of the flat for installation, and festive period slowdowns (Chinese New Year, Hari Raya). Plan around these.
